About
About Lab to Reality
We write about fascinating discoveries in energy, physics, materials and hard tech – always from the original research.
How we source
Every article is based on a peer-reviewed paper, a preprint or an official laboratory release. Press releases only point us to the research; facts and numbers come from the paper itself, and every article links it.
When a paper is a preprint, we say so – preprints have not yet been peer reviewed.
How articles are made
Drafts are written with the help of AI language models working from the paper's text, then checked automatically (every number must appear in the source) and reviewed by a human editor before publication.
Images
Lead images marked “Illustrative image” are AI-generated illustrations, not photographs of the actual experiment. Figures from papers are used only when the paper is published under an open licence (such as CC BY), with full credit and a link to the licence.
